Principal’s Welcome
Welcome to Chaigeley School
I am very proud to be the Principal at Chaigeley School and would like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone to our school website.
Our school provides a high quality, broad, balanced and inclusive curriculum for SEMH students across key stages 2, 3 & 4. We pride ourselves on our welcoming, nurturing and safe environment which allows our pupils to develop academically, spiritually and emotionally. Building resilience and confidence along the way.
Chaigeley is a Non-Maintained Special School and accepts students from all Local Authorities across the North West. We are currently rated as a ‘Good’ school by Ofsted (2024). The school’s aim is to maintain this rating with the addition of outstanding elements before the next Inspection.
Our school vision is to:
“Prepare and empower our young people with all the skills they need to live independent lives, become valued members of the community and achieve their full potential.”
To achieve this students, staff, parents, carers and all stakeholders work in partnership to ensure all opportunities to provide an outstanding education are Identified and exhausted, giving our students the curriculum and experiences they deserve. We create vocational opportunities wherever possible and embed life skills across our curriculum.
We have amazing school grounds and promote learning outside the classroom wherever possible. As a school we recognise the importance of attachment friendly practice and the need for an informal element to our extensive curriculum which provides several therapy services and the promotion of all round well – being for each pupil and staff member.
We have forged strong links with our local community and as such we have a school that our local community is proud of.
