Welcome to Bonsai

Welcome to Bonsai class. We are a year 11 class and our lovely classroom looks out onto the front garden of the school and there is a courtyard area at the back to spend free time in, away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the school. The classroom has had a new media wall installed during the summer with an updated interactive whiteboard.

Bonsai class is supported by Simon, Nicky, Jess and Ryan.

In our class we have a mixture of talents: musician’s, footballer’s and foreign language learners to name a few! During the last half term, the pupils tried a range of activities including ice skating, fishing, hiking and also went to a careers fair. Some of the pupils take part in a work experience program run by Barclays.

February 2026

Bonsai class have just been further preparing themselves for the summer and their GCSE exams by successfully completing another round of Mock Exams.

College and apprenticeship applications are in full swing with one eye fixed firmly on future pathways of all our students.

On a lighter note, ice skating, rock climbing and fishing are current D of E choices of activity and preparations for the class Bronze Expedition are well underway which will happen towards the end of the spring term.

Exciting times ahead.
