Form Team Overview

Our aim is to help students in the Elm Class build trusting relationships within the school to help increase attendance and access the curriculum.

Ensuring that KS4 pupils leave school fully prepared with the skills required for college, training, or the workplace is essential. To support this, all KS4 pupils have the opportunity to engage in Work Related Learning activities and externally accredited courses. Personalised timetables are available to meet the needs of individuals. Additionally, all KS4 pupils can participate in taster courses for a range of vocational subjects at local colleges. Year 11 pupils will have the opportunity to undertake work experience placements if it is deemed appropriate.

We have strong links with ‘Warrington & Vale Royal College’ and Vocational Skills Providers ‘For Housing’ and ‘Brighter Futures’, providing access to Year 10 and 11 pupils interested in learning trades such as bricklaying, joinery, plumbing and mechanics. Pupils will be able to recieve a Level 1 BTEC qualification in Bricklaying and Carpentry.

We also have recently entered in to a relationship with Fast Forward / Team Sport Warrington to offer a Level 1/2 Mechnaics qualification for Year 10 and 11 students with links to STEM. Pupils who choose this option spend 1 day week off site at Team Sport Warrington.
