Form Team Overview

We’re a lively bunch, eager to explore, learn, and develop essential life skills. When we’re not out exploring, you’ll find us enjoying movies, playing games, and participating in quizzes. Technology is our playground, and we can’t wait to share our journey with you!

Things to look forward to…

November 2025

Lavender Class have had a fantastic and positive start to their KS3 journey! The pupils have embraced new challenges with maturity, enthusiasm, and a real commitment to their learning.

One of the highlights this term was our first-class trip to the pumpkin patch. Everyone loved choosing their own pumpkins — and the fun continued back at school as they got creative carving their designs!

We also enjoyed hosting the Macmillan Cake Sale, where parents and carers joined us for a lovely afternoon of tea, cake, and conversation, all while raising money for a wonderful cause. A special highlight of the event was our fun-filled game, “Is it Cake or Is it Fake?”, which had everyone guessing and laughing as they tried to spot the real bakes from the sneaky fakes! Thank you to everyone who took part and supported the day — it was a great success.

In lessons, Lavender Class have been exploring exciting new subjects such as German and ASDAN, and showing great curiosity and effort in their learning. During MOTIONAL, pupils created colourful confidence kites decorated with words that celebrate their strengths, and shared positive notes with one another to spread kindness and encouragement throughout the class. It’s been wonderful to see how these activities have helped everyone build self-belief and support their friends.

In PE, the focus has been on dodgeball, and it’s been fantastic to see how much their teamwork and communication skills have developed.

Our Forest School sessions have been another big hit — pupils have learned how to safely light fires, use tools responsibly, and enjoy the outdoor play equipment in our forest area. These sessions have been a wonderful opportunity for the class to build confidence, independence, and a love of the outdoors.

We were also lucky to have a visit from our local police officers, who spent time with the class sharing information about their important work in the community. Pupils loved exploring inside the police vehicle and discovering some of the equipment that officers carry on duty — it was a fascinating and inspiring experience for everyone!

In Science, the class have had plenty of hands-on fun and discovery. They experimented with Oobleck, exploring its strange and fascinating properties — and a few brave pupils even decided to test it hands-on! More recently, the class showed real bravery and curiosity during a biology lesson on organ dissection, where they learned about the structure and function of different organs up close. The students handled the activity with great maturity and respect, showing a keen interest in how the human body works.

It’s been a busy and exciting start to the year for Lavender Class, and we’re so proud of all they’ve achieved so far. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the term brings!
