Welcome back message from the Principal.
Happy New Year and welcome back to all pupils & staff, I hope you all had a lovely Christmas break and you enjoyed the 2023 New Year celebrations.
We have lots to look forward to this term. All pupils will be accessing the new forest school curriculum with a visit to the Children animal farm trust (CAFT) and helping to develop our own forest schools area on the school site.
All pupils will have an opportunity to access the new Amplified Music School who will be delivering various music lessons. Pupils in year 10 & 11 will also be accessing the think fast program with world champion boxer Martin Murray at the newly renovated Warrington youth Zone. Year 11’s will be doing their mock exams, attending some careers advice workshops, preparing for their Duke of Edinburgh expedition. Pupils in Key Stage 2 will be starting their swimming lessons and working with Everton in the Community once a week to develop their PE skills.
We have several new pupils starting this term which is exciting and I am sure everyone will make them feel welcome.
The therapy team have continued to expand their provision and provide support for lots of our pupils, this will include the new sensory garden which is being designed & built this spring/summer. If you receive a consent form from Juniper therapy please sign and return as soon as possible so your child can access their Therapy when they need it.
This term also marks two significant milestones Becky Swift the Head of Education has been with us for 25 years and Bob Astley in the Therapy team has been with us for 28 years congratulations and thank you for your many years of dedication to the pupils at Chaigeley.
Many thanks,
Mr Lambert.
