Fresh from their successful exploits in Sports Day last week, Larch class took part in an epic game of dodgeball in PE on Tuesday against a staff team. Staff emerged victorious, but lots of fun was had by all! So much so, that the pupils were keen to play it again at lunchtime and in ‘Golden Time!’.
In English the same day, the pupils studied Anne Frank and were then given a task to imagine that they were in her position where they have to evacuate quickly and to pick just 3 essential items to pack in their suitcase. Most of the pupils opted for food and drink whilst others felt that their games consoles were an absolute ‘must-have’ item!
On Thursday, Larch travelled to Stoke for an action-packed day out at Water World, where there were many thrilling and exciting rides enjoyed by all! Memorable favourites include a thrashing wave pool called Typhoon Lagoon, the Rapid Lane which you had to battle with the water to avoid going round in a continuous circle, The Cyclone where you were hurled in different directions in a rubber ring, and also the Hurricane and the Twister which both felt like you’d been released straight from a catapult!
